The Best Shared Screen Release You've Likely Not Played Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

Wizard of Legend 2, an roguelike journey featuring spellcasters striving to become legends, is coming to Nintendo Switch in the coming weeks. It'll be accessible November 25, providing fans of local multiplayer titles another opportunity to explore one among the year's most impressive additions in the genre.

A Challenging Launch

The Wizard of Legend Sequel has followed the roadmap of numerous under-the-radar releases. The development team made it available in early access in October 2024 on computer systems, prior to launching it completely, in conjunction with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X iterations, in June 2025. Upon release, it was widely panned. Just less than a third of its user reviews are positive. The player reviews on Steam are "mixed", based on close to 2,000 evaluations, with numerous users highlighting the unrefined state and multitude of glitches upon release. Gamers on PlayStation and Xbox also criticized that the multiplayer component, a key feature for the title, was largely non-functional.

Consistent Improvements

However similar to numerous pre-release games that release in rough states, The Wizard of Legend Sequel has gotten better. Over the past few months, the creators have deployed a series of patches aimed to resolve these problems. After playing The Wizard of Legend Sequel more than any latest game this year, one can assert it performs better than it was at launch (on console, anyway). It's hit the stage where nine times out of ten, I can actually get a multiplayer game to operate. Not bad!

If It Operates, This Game Shines

And when The Wizard of Legend Sequel works, it truly delivers. From an isometric perspective, you fight through element-based areas by using magic in action-oriented mechanics. A great deal of rushing, plenty of evading, plenty of timing abilities. It's dizzyingly fast-paced and endlessly creative; when you mix and match your magical attacks with a friend's, you can create some devastating combinations.

Nintendo Switch Edition Details

While the portable iteration is yet to be thoroughly evaluated, it's worth noting Nintendo's famously strict quality standards for Switch games. Its creators stated via an announcement that the Switch version of Wizard of Legend II incorporates every patch that have been applied recently.
